I had this book years ago and got rid of it much to my regret. I just rang my local Works, they have stock and they said it was £8. However she double checked and it scanned at £2, so they're saving me a couple for later. Thanks !

Only too glad to be of help!
Since I often get deals off this site it is nice to 'pay back' with a great deal. Actually I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw the books yesterday- has to be bargain of the day at least!!

Thanks OP, I bought this yesterday for my daughter after seeing this post. It is lovely and while googling Constance Spry to find out about her, as usual Amazon came up first and it is £24 on there and every review gives it 5 stars.
So if there`s any left I`m going to get one for myself:)

There are several in the Swansea Quadrant branch - on the right close to the door and clearly labelled at £2.

Thanks OP, a huge 'stocking filler' for my sister :rotfl:

Thanks OP - much appreciated! This seems to be national. :)
  • For anyone who loves cookery books, I highly recommend this one, absolute steal at £2. Great reviews on Amazon, selling for £24.
My work colleagues and I just dispatched a willing husband to collect the last 11 copies from our local Works shop and are delighted with them. Proper classic cookery, no pictures but really useful recipes and it's huge! Great Christmas present for a foodie.

Hope he realises he needs to be a weight lifter!! I struggled with 2 copies ( and struggled even more when I discovered I had lost my parking ticket! I've never done that before!!)
