Finding a descendant

I wonder if you can help. I am not sure where to post this, hoping you very helpful people will be able to advise.
I am trying to trace the family tree of someone who moved to London and was running a boarding house in the 1911 census. I am trying to get in touch with any living relatives of this person.
The problem is after the 1911 census I can't find any trace of them. They were aged 31 living in Marylebone.
Since that date I can't find either his nor his father's death records which would hopefully guide me to a living descendant. His father was in his 70s at the time and the other person was born in 1880 so they are most definitely to have passed away by now.
I have searched on the usual ancestry, and other websites but no luck.
Does anyone have any further advice on how I try to go about finding if the family line continues please?
Many thanks

Could the Sally Army help. I think they may only help you find living relatives.
Or the Mormon church if you'vr got one near you.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

How big a geographic area are you searching - eg could they have moved to the coast or returned to family roots elsewhere in the country so you need to broaden your search ?
My uncles and aunts were of an age with this couple and were all born in London and most moved out of London eventually - some emigrated others moved to other parts of Britain so don't assume that they stayed in London - At that time selling a boarding house in London and starting a new business elsewhere wasn't uncommon as people started to take more holidays for example.
If they were a couple are there birth records for any children ?
If they owned the property then land registry records might be helpful to see if the property was inherited by a relative .I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Was it an unusual surname? Sometimes they can be mispelt and mangled up on Ancestry.
Why don't you join rootschat and request some help, they will be able to help you.

Check if boarding houses needed to be 'registered' in some way as this may be a way of finding them.
Also, old phone books date back from this time and Post Office directories may have the business listed too.
Unfortunately, you may have to wait until the 1921 census is released to see who is still living in the boarding house property.0
