But interesting they are now updating some records. Before it seemed to be just a few who were imminently reaching SPA who had 2015/2016 included.I came, I saw, I melted0 -
Does anybody know when 2015/2016 years information will be added into the records? I'm wondering as that is the point at which you can find out your precise starting amount under the new state scheme (assuming you don't buy any missing pre April 2016 years subsequently)
I remember many years back that statements used to say it could take up to 6 months after the end of the year to get that tax year updated.
Do things happen more quickly now?The National Insurance Record is held and maintained by HMRC and they endeavour to have the previous year's payments and credits in place by the autumn. Sorry we cannot be more specificI came, I saw, I melted0 -
My estimate includes 2015/16 contributions.
Maybe because I'm only 6weeks away from collecting it!
Cheers fj0 -
Mine does as well.
I would imagine that in these days of RTI it doesnt take anything like as long as it used do to collect the payroll year end data from employers and post it to peoples accounts in NPS.
Of course there will still be a long period of correcting missposted accounts and other fallouts. There must be fallouts of some kind!0 -
They have had another edit. My estimate no longer shows a SP + COPE figure and now just quotes the COPE estimate.0

This service is a bit of a farce. See the above quote for what it told me back in December. I have been in again today and see completely different figures:
Estimate based on your National Insurance record up to 5 April 2015- £146.76 a week
Checking Contracted out/COPE etc it says:
Your State Pension forecast £155.65 Your COPE estimate £0 COPE added to your State Pension forecast £155.65
So it thinks I have been contracted out (which I have for approx 12 years) but has a COPE of £0.
Its estimate is over £30 per week less than in December which is not insignificant
( Note I have 33 NI qualifying years prior to 2015)
Whats going on?
I've been in again today and my figures still show £146 per week with £0 COPE, my 2016 NI is not accredited yet.
I intended using the help function to get someone to explain but the online help function seems to have vanished? you can now just report feedback or ask for help on usage.0 -
