can i off set paye tax year to year

Can i off set any un used paye personal alowence from 2012/13 or 2013/4 to 2014/5.
I have 2 employments which are casule and combined only just make over the tax thresh hold.
Dose hmrc allow unused personel alowance paye to be offset from a previous year to the currant year??

    no, personal allowance is a use it or lose it allowance
  • just another part of the unfair tax system. big earners can find ways but the small person suffers

    If you only just go over the threshold, you will have very little tax to pay, as you only pay tax on the amount above your allowance (£10600 at the moment.)

    if you 'just' go over the allowance limit then there is no allowance left to offset, so what is the issue?
