As far as i am aware you cannot win by retweeting a retweet. Has to be the original comp tweet. Contact them and ask because they might not have noticed. Possible he also retweeted the original comp i guessAugust-September 2017: Lots of stuff

If it was a manual RT then i guess although unfair, he did retweet eventhough the OP was tagged in the tweet.
Its just unfortunate but maybe contact the company and see what they say?0 -
Thats not what most twitter comps say. they say you have to retweet their original tweetAugust-September 2017: Lots of stuff

I block anyone who retweets my retweets because I find it exceptionally lazy.
But yeah, to answer the question, the company should probably have noticed it wasn't a direct retweet.0 -

I read that bots can still retweet your tweets even if you've blocked them, you just don't get a notification, so you don't know about it.TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -
They probably searched by hashtag to pick the winner. No idea if it's invalid or not. Contact them and ask.Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!0

This doesn't actually do anything if they're using other software other than you not getting the notifications anymore. Tweetdeck for example still shows people who've blocked you0

I've started doing that. Gets quite annoying when a lot of followers are just retweeting my comp retweets.August-September 2017: Lots of stuff

I've noticed a huge increase lately in what must be bots, retweeting my tweets, and writing a few words from the comp tweet in the quote bit. I always block them.0
