We are installing a multi fuel fire this week. Do building control need to be told?

Yes. Our installer did the application for us and incorporated the fee into our final price. We phoned up afterwards and a guy from building control came out about a week later.0

In Belfast you also need to use an exempt appliance or burn smokeless fuel.
