E:24/05/05? Lawnmower deals at Argos

Options
Just had to invest in a new electric lawnmower, and was impressed by some of the offers at Argos on good reputable brands.

We ended up buying a Qualcast Easi Trak 320 for £49.99 (normally £69.99 at Argos, mid-60s elsewhere). This mower (and presumably other Qualcast models) has the advantage of a 5 year parts and 2 year labour guarantee included. It's also only 7kg in weight, a definite plus for us. This offer is meant to end 24 May.

Another option also at £49.99 was a JCB EM3224K mower: for the money (normally £99.99) you also get a JCB electric grass trimmer. For a lot of people this might be an even better deal -- i.e. if you prefer a grass trimmer to Qualcast's long guarantee -- although the JCB mower weighs twice as much as the Qualcast one for the same power (1000 Watts). Not sure when this promotion ends.

Hope this helps someone, and that I've posted in the right place (Grabbit board rather than Argos board)...

I'm after a new mower, the Qualcast seems just what I'm after. And I like the guarantee.

  • We bought the LandXScape one a few weeks ago. Think was £34.99 with free trimmer. Is a little light but great for our garden which isn't that big. Strimmer does the job fine, much better than our previous one which was heavy for me to use (I have a problem with my shoulders). All in all, u get what u pay for and for us it works great :o Lawn nice and trimmed and didn't cost a fortune.

Just another comment on the lawnmower debate went to buy a new one for my dad the other day, spoke to a 'specialist' in homebase as i was debating a flymo or qualcast, he said if i got 3 years out of a flymo i would have done well! I assume he or homebase has no loyalty to an particular brand seeing as the flymo girl was in there only weeks before...5 year guarantee cant go wrong...also if anyone has a makro card and a store nearby they have a few on offer worth havin a butchers
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk
