Mortgage name change

Hi I'm wondering if anyone could shed any light on this for me, me and my partner took out a Morgage last year with a local building society, but as I had default they wouldn't accept me so we put my partners mum on so it went through, the default will drop off my credit file in December and I want to have my name put on the Morgage and my partners mums taken off, is this possible without having to remortgage as now my partner is on maternity pay she might not be accepted now? Thank you in advance

Kev0690 - something to speak to the lender about but invariably a new mortgage deed (legal charge) would need to be completed and the old one redeemed/discharged.
Whoever 'charges' the property also needs to be the registered owner so you may need to look into this as well as presumably your partner's mum and your partner are the registered owners as well?
