Cashback websites

Options
I saw an article about these types of websites in the Daily Times recently. For example, topchashback and Qudico.

How do these websites work. Do you use them to buy high valued items like bikes; games consoles; tablets etc.

Can you use them to buy weekly shopping etc. I have a Tesco Clubcard which I use every week. Can I use these websites to do my weekly shop?

I have spent time Googling this today but I am still none the wiser and hence the reason for the question.

You don't make your purchase on the cash back site itself, you just use the site's links to click through to your usual retailer. I use them for every online purchase I can.

No you can only do one grocery shop on cash back sites. They are more for shops like Boots, Debenhams, BHS, travel, furniture etc

  • I'd avoid topcashback, they don't track well and don't always honour the cashback. I've heard good things about Quidco honouring cashback but I've only just started using them. I have used check out smart to get cashback on groceries it's really good and shopitize.

I have not heard of shoptize and chec out smart. Do you use them (both?) as well as quidco? What supermarkets are supported? Can you shop at the supermarket every week.

I've used Quidco for hotels and shoes I've bought. Shopitize and Checkoutsmart, offer cashback on selected groceries and I've recently started using both of them no trouble. I've only ever used them to buy things I was already going to buy anyway and have £5 on shopitize. Don't think I have much gained as much from Checkoutsmart, shopitize seems to have better offers for me.

ive used topcashback for a while now . nearing £700, and not had a single "not tracked" issue. I would certainly recommend them. Insurance seems to biggest ammount, but use for every online shop I can.
