Taxi driver

Good evening,

My girlfriend works as a receptionist for a hotel and sugested that I become a taxi driver for that hotel as she makes around 10-15 bookings per day, fares from £5 to £60. I spoke to the manager and she said that it's fine as long as iI have a decent car. I saw that a operator licence is around £40 per year, would I still need a pco licence? And will I need a taxi insurance or will a normal business insurance work? I'm 23 years old and I did a quote for a octavia and it came to 450 per month taxi insurance.

It's Private Hire so you would need to register with the local authority and have the appropriate Insurance.

Bear in mind that some of the bookings your GF receives will be for people wanting taxi's all at the same time
