Argos - taking payment

Hi all just wondering if anyone has had any issues with Argos taking payment?
It has been over a week since I purchased online (and picked up from store) two separate items, one being of considerable value. My Bank says nothing is waiting from Argos to be collected though last week I am sure the money was showing to be taken out as there was a difference with my balance/available balance but now this has changed and the money is showing available again.
How long can Argos take to take the payment? Surely they should take money at point of purchase?
