Long Haul hols for 3 days

Options
I was just reading the holiday wins thread.

I'm put of entering anything like USA when it's a 3 day trip as I think it must be knackering ? I've seen some for 4 days in Austrailia , that must be a killer.

Not a win but I did a three centre tour of China in 7 days. Was dreading the fatigue but, if you want to see these places, you just sort of get on with it.................
    Still cracking on....

Having flown to America a number of times, there is no 'jet lag' when going there so a 3 day trip should not be a problem in that respect.

Agreed, I've done short trips to the US/Canada several times without difficulty. I imagine I'd be knackered going the other way though, but I've never actually tried it.

Luckily my wins have been for at least 7 nights but I enter the shorter ones too. I always think if I won I could ask to pay for accomodation for a few extra nights myself. Not sure if all promoters would allow it but the 2 holidays I have won they have been very flexible.
  • Not a win, but I saved and saved to visit New York a few years back, could only afford to stay for 3 nights but never had a problem with jet-lag etc...wish I could have stayed for longer to see more though!

A family friend (not a comper by hobby, just got lucky on the one he did enter) won a trip to the world cup in Brazil, but it was 3 connecting flights with hours waiting inbetween each one. He actually said he wishes he didn't go as all the hassle wasn't worth it.

I dream of winning a holiday competition one day! :)
