Just seen this on the bbc news channel
Bitwalking.com
They have trialed it in a few counties and will be rolled out in the UK soon
Its a phone so that pays you when you are walking.. Which can be spent online etc
To sign up for an invite ( this is not a referral, and don't know if there will be a referral programme when it is set up)

I saw that on the red button news text thing, given that I walk quite some distance each week I thought it might be worth looking into. I bet it won't work on my phone, though, so would need to weigh up whether the potential earnings are worth it.0

Its the same as all the extra money things, that you can do online etc,
If you walk alot then you are not doing anything diff and earning a few pennies,
Even if I get a £5 voucher every few month/ year that's good enough for meWork to live= not live to work0 -
It is a bit like Bounts I think then?ally.0

For Bounts - you need to link whichever apps you are using so they can get the data from it. If you have Fitbit etc, you can link the device. I do use an app called Moves - linked to Bounts so it syncs directly. You need to do at least 7000 steps to earn a reward. I find the rewards a bit poor on Bounts but just keep using as it doesn't cost me anything. We used to have a thread here but somehow, some lovely person deleted it without any reason. There is a referral thread on the referral board.ally.0

So in theory you could use the same app to link to bounts and bitwalking??
And earn points/bounts etc from the 2 of them
I must admit, I really do need to do more walking/ exercise etc so I think this would encourage me to exercise/ walk moreWork to live= not live to work0 -
I think we'd yes - assuming both support the same apps. To be fair, it helped me to walk more. Definitely worth a try.ally.0

You can now request an invite for Bitwalking in the UK as I have just done it. No idea how long it will take, we shall see.
I have downloaded Moves, I find that it doesn't track very well. I went out for a walk two lunch times running, both for around 20 mins, it only tracked for 6 mins and only 500 steps. I have also seen it wipe steps off my total as I have been looking at the app.LBM: Dec 2012 - Debt £38,180/ Now £0.

It sounds almost identical to Bounts. You do really need a proper fitness tracker like a Fitbit though.
Using my phone, I averaged around 6500 steps per day, using my Fitbit it's around 12,000. The Bounts payout level is 7000 steps per day, so pretty easy to get to if you're fairly active.
Rewards are slow - I've been doing it for a couple of months and have about £5 worth of reward points so far. However, definitely worth it for just walking like I do anyway!Mortgage received 21/12/2018
