Ref applying for a cc to get £8.50 back from quidco

As some of you were aware, there was a thread on here this month about applying for a cc and you would get £8.50 cash back from quidco. Well for a laugh I decided to apply. I put that I had nil wages/income, and that I was unemployed. So imagine my utter horror when a card turned up with a £5k limit on it:eek:  . And not even from the sub prime lender but from MBNA. How ON EARTH can this be responsible lending.
I will of course NOT be spending on the card. Indeed I won't even activate it. But to think that they could give me a card when I have no wages AND THEY KNOW THAT, with such a high limit is astounding.
They will be getting it back as soon as the cash back has validated....

I applied too and it turned me down, but I do have a default which has yet to expire for non-payment of a credit card, lol, so I never expected to be accepted!! Got my £8.50 thoughOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

I have applied and they would like to "discuss my application" on the phone - rang the number they gave to be told they are closed :rotfl:
Oh well, if I get my £8.50 I will be happy, if I get a balance transfer away from my horrid egg card, I will be even happier.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Whilst I am very glad to have given you a tip to get £8.50, I am still stunned that they would give someone a 5k limit, when they have put on the application form that they have NO income!
Also don't ring them up. The cash back only tracks if you do the application soley online! I ignored them when they said to call and still got the card
