Our brand new Chocolate Factory will open in spring 2016 and we’re celebrating by offering one lucky human being, with a mouth and a brain choc full of sweet dreams, the chance to become our CHIEF CHOCOLATE TASTER (CCT) for 12 months.

Applicants must have the ability to act like a kid in a sweetie shop and will be tasked with inventing a top new flavour combination that will be transformed into the ultimate chocolate bar when the new £600,000 factory opens in Aberdeenshire next year.


Main requirements & responsibilities of the role will include:

• A mouth and tastebuds.
• Commitment to taste, test, lick and sook a flowing supply of chocolate.
• A strong stomach - for taste testing inferior chocolate brands.
• Commitment to raising the bar by creating one of a kind chocolate flavour combinations.
• Ability to let a square of chocolate melt in the mouth without biting.

The Job Package:

• Paid in, wait for it… seven bars of Mackie’s chocolate per week.
• Quarterly additional payments of chocolate to share with friends.
• 12 month role with flexible hours, based at a 180 degree angle on the couch at home.
• Trip to our family farm for a chocolate immersion session with the resident experts.
• Performance bonus if/when your chocolate creation flies off the shelves.

• Applicants of all ages are welcome and no experience is needed for this once in a lifetime opportunity – just someone who is fruit and nutty about chocolate and spilling with interesting flavour combinations.

Note:


10. A shortlist of four flavours will be chosen by Mackie's New Product Development team and volunteer tasting panel. The four applicants will be invited to our Aberdeenshire farm to take part in chocolate tasting tests and have some fun with chocolate. Mackie's will cover the cost of travel and accommodation for applicants travelling to the farm from within the UK only. Shortlisted applicants must be available to visit the farm on Monday 14th December or forego their place.
