Can anyone comment on the quality of the latest dashboard camera, offered by Aldi, please ?


My husband thought buying one would be a good idea (he drives for a living), as they offer a good warranty, but that's no use if the quality is poor.

Easy to install with 12V power cable ....

Does that mean "plug it into the cigarette lighter"?

Or does that mean "well, we make it sound easy, but you'll actually end up getting a garage to fix it in"

Looks pretty good in the daytime mode.

There's a dashcam forum, where people have bought the current model and tried. One person said it was quite good; the other bought two, mounted forwards and backwards. They found one out of focus, but the other was clear, so it appears to be a case of buy and try, returning if not satisfied.

I have always found them very helpful.


I returned an electric blanket which didn't heat up enough, with no problems, but bought another brand as that one was rather small for a double bed. Also, a magnified mirror with lights, which I didn't think was any better than one without lighting.


Likewise, no problems with returning a heated cushion to Lidl. That failed after 10 months and I was given a full refund, as they could not obtain a replacement at the time.

The manager of my local store said the cameras were sold out within 5 minutes of the items going on display and that no other store in the area had stock, as they had rung him to request one.

We bought two. One each.

One of them did not work and so returned it for an exchange with no problems.
