Big Betting Win - Account Frozen!

Hi all,
Wasn't sure where to put this, so please move if not appropriate.
So last night i fancied placing a bet on football. Was my birthday so it was my treat if you will (I know, wild). I used to gamble here and there but stopped to save money some years ago. I opened an account with Coral, and would you believe it, an accumulator paid out nearly £4k!
Obviously i was absolutely over the moon, i set a withdrawal off and went about my day. Went to check on it this morning only to find it was frozen. When i called them, they said I previously held an account with them which i'd self excluded from.
I don't remember ever doing this, i might of closed it, but i never had a problem or anything, though i can't rule out having opted for it without realising. Anyway, she went to check and said that my self exclusion actually expired sometime back in January 2014, but she would need to send a form of to have my account re-approved for activation. She said she couldn't see any reason why they'd say no or void my bet, given my self exclusion technically wasn't active, but she couldn't guarantee it. I have no doubt if i'd lost, they'd of happily taken my money and let me lose it, but i am worried as i won, they will do the opposite.
That amount of cash is a pretty big deal to me. Can anyone let me know where I stand?

Surely if your account was frozen they should not have accepted your bet in the first place. As you say, they can't have it both ways.0

It wasn't frozen initially i made what i thought was a new account however, apparently i'd closed an old account i'd forgotten about and excluded years ago (again, don't remember, but if i did it wasn't due to having any problems or anything it would of simply been me not really knowing what i was doing!)
But regardless, that expired over a year ago, so i don't see why they would close a new account.0 -
This thread would better off in the 'Matched Betting' forum.
Get a lot more replies.
My opinion is that they should pay you. But then again this is a bookmaker we are talking about :eek:0 -
