Terms & Conditions

1) Competition open to UK residents only over the age of 21, except employees of Mountain Warehouse, Smoothwater Outfitter Eco Lodge, Air Canada and their families, agents or anyone connected with this competition.

2) Entries must be received by 11.59pm GMT on 31st, March 2016.

3) There is only one prize. The winner will be drawn at random from all correct entries received prior to the close of the competition.

4) By entering, all entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and any associated entry requirements. Any breach of these terms and conditions by an entrant will void their entry.

5) Misrepresentative or fraudulent entries will invalidate an entry.

6) The promoter will not be liable for any failure of receipt of entries. The promoter takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost or damaged.

7) Entries will not be acknowledged or returned.

8) Only one entry per person. Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available.

9) One entrant will win a holiday for two to Ontario, Canada, courtesy of Smoothwater Outfitters Eco Lodge and Ontario Tourism travelling as part of a small group with two other North American prize-winners.


10) Travel dates for this trip are set and cannot be altered. (July 15 to 22, 2015)

11) The prize includes: two Air Canada economy-class return flights from London Gatwick with Air Canada rouge and onwards to North Bay with Air Canada (connecting in Toronto) including airport tax; all ground transportation throughout the trip escorted by Ontario Tourism, Ray Mears and local guides, a 7 nights stay in Ontario (3 nights accommodation (first, second and last night) accommodation at Smoothwater Outfitters Eco Lodge (base camp), 4 nights of wilderness camping in Lady Evelyn- Smoothwater Provincial Park (including all camping gear), all meals (8 breakfasts, 7 lunches, 8 dinners), 1 day at the Temagami Canoe and Music Festival, guided tour on Bear Island with Temagami First Nations, all meals (8 breakfasts, 7 lunches, 8 dinners), Float Plane adventure with Lakeland Airways for a four-day guided adventure into Lady Evelyn- Smoothwater Provincial Park with Ray Mears, the story of Grey Owl as told by Ray Mears and bushcraft skills led by Ray Mears, wildlife observation and tracking skills led by Ray Mears, 1 x £300 voucher provided by Mountain Warehouse.

12) The prize does not include travel insurance, travel between the winners home and the airport, personal expenditure or incidental costs, other than where stated.

13) It is the responsibility of the prize winner to ensure they, and their guest are in good health and able to undertake all activities listed in the T&C’s.

14) It is the responsibility of the prize winner to ensure they, and their guest, have a valid passport and travel insurance, which is a condition of travel, and obtain any necessary vaccinations and visas for their trip.

15) The prize is only valid for travel on the July 15 to July 22, 2016. The winner and their guest must travel together at all times. The prize trip cannot be altered. Travel is subject to Smoothwater Outfitters Eco Lodge terms and conditions.

16) All elements of the prize are subject to availability, non transferable and there are no cash alternatives.

17) Some experiences above are weather dependent and Ontario Tourism cannot be held responsible for the cancellation of any activities due to the weather or any other reason. The decisions on the daily itinerary will be made by the Ontario escorts and local guides at the time of the trip. The safety of the participants will not be compromised. There is no cash alternative if any attraction component of this prize is cancelled.

18) By entering, winners agree to their names and general locations being used for publicity purposes.

19) By entering, entrants agree to receiving further information from Ontario Tourism and Mountain Warehouse The winner may be required to submit valid identification before receiving their prize.

20) The Judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

21) The winner will be contacted via email the first week of April 2016, by Ontario Tourism’s UK office. Should no reply to the e-mail be received within 72 hours, a new winner will be drawn. No provision is offered for e-mails bouncing, being found in spam, simply not being picked up by the winner or any other reason within the time frame.
