    Obviously not getting it

Whether or not food flavoring contains animal products, it is *still* suitable for vegetarians

Just not suitable for vegans grinding a political axe

Maybe read my post again to understand why

If a product contains any animal products, then it is NOT suitable for vegetarians.

    Wrong, so so wrong.
  • If you are vegetarian then that means you are against eating animals, so even though the noodles themselves are animal free, the sachet is not. By buying the product and binning the sachet then you are still supporting the torture of animals, surely.

Would you care to explain your assertion that a product containing animal products is suitable for vegetarians?

These chicken noodles are obviously not vegetarian, they contain dried chicken meat.

But "animal products" usually refers to milk/eggs not meat. Most vegetarians won't eat meat (so these noodles are out) but will eat butter/milk/eggs.

Whereas a vegan won't eat any animal products at all.

I agree that the term "animal products" can include dairy and eggs, but I was using it to mean any meat based products. Things like gelatine and rennet, stock made from the carcass etc.

If the noodles seasoning sachet has anything like that in it, then it's not suitable for vegetarians.

I have Just defined the political reasons 'vegans' avoid animal 'products' as opposed to vegetarians who avoid eating meat

The fact that your response lumps both vegans and vegitarians together totally negates your response

    Maybe read the post again

Or like me and a fair few of my fellow vegetarian and vegan friends, just grossed out by eating meat or animal by-products nothing political there, no secret agenda, not trying to judge anyone or make them feel small, just personal choice. Do you eat whatever you choose to for 'political reasons'... or is it just personal choice for you too.

Animals have to die to make leather products

This does not preclude "vegitarians" for wearing leather shoes

    It procludes "vegans"

If you don't get it now I can't help it

"Dried Chicken Powder " to me should contain chicken.

Their "hot & sour" noodles - says there are suitable for vegetarians. The chickens one do not.

  • I've never understood being a vegetarian, surely the only way is to be vegan if you don't like killing animals to eat.

Eating eggs, drinking milk, wearing leather, etc, is still doing harm to animals. Hence the only way is to be vegan.

Apart from lada gaga I have never seen anyone wear a chicken noodle coat.

I never said a vegetarian could not wear a leather coat. What I will say is a vegetarian can not put a bit of the leather coat in their mouth and swallow it.
This is about eating and not about wearing.

A quote from the vegetarian society.
"A vegetarian does not eat any meat, poultry, game, fish, shellfish* or by-products of slaughter"

The seasoning contains "chicken" which is created after the chicken had been slaughtered.
You then eat the seasoning pack. Not sure how that does not fit in the above definition.
