Megabus newton abbot stop help please

Hi all.


Just trying to check EXACTLY where MEGABUS to London picks up from in NEWTON ABBOT.


Does it definitely pick-up from the RAILWAY STATION stop as well as PENN INN? And WHICH side of the road?

It seems to depend on whether you are getting a regular Megabus service, or a Megabusplus service (where the journey is in two parts, coach and train).

However, there seem to be no megabusplus journeys scheduled to call at Newton Abbot at the moment

I've checked the Megabus stops page, but as I've not caught this before and not exactly sure of the route I don't want to get caught out - particularly on the wrong side of the road! I even went to the bus stop sites but there is no info. I also asked in the rail station but they were unhelpful........I was hoping someone who had been on this route before might pop by

When you do a booking it quite clearly says the pick up points on megabus on the first screen that loads with timings.
Only option is penn inn.

Yes, the only pick up in Penn Inn.


BUT, if you look in the Bus Stop search section, it quite clearly shows BOTH Penn Inn & Rail Station at stops.

Quite so.


But if you hover your cursor over the little man it very clearly says that megabus services stop at the Penn Inn roundabout and megabusplus services stop outside the station.


Currently there are no megabusplus services to or from Newton Abbot, so there isn't a stop at the station.

I have travelled on the Megabus through Newton multiple times (admittedly all FROM London) and not a single one has dropped off at the Rail Station. They all drop off at Penn Inn and do not visit the town.
