Today is D-day. The deadline for offers on the house is at noon and we should hear either this afternoon or some time tomorrow whether our offer has been accepted or not.
I sold something on Amazon yesterdayOK, it was a book, not one of the umpteen CDs, but it's a start!
AQA-ing is also going well, I've gone through my £50 target for the month and if I can answer another 120 questions by the end of the month, I'll just get to £100.
I've been having a play with Egg's mortgage calculator this morning. If I want to pay this off in the remaining 2 and a half years of the challenge, I need to be overpaying £700 a month  Which I'm not! At the moment I'm overpaying £250 a month (ish) but I worked out that if I add in the £200 a month OH is paying me back, which at the moment is getting my off-set savings back up to £5k, plus £100 a month AQA then I only need to find another £150 a month to be there. And that's do-able :j

I'm hoping that no news is good news?
So are we! Not heard anything and won't do today now, as the solicitor shut at 5
Two possibilities - 1) someone has put in a larger bid than ours and the selling solicitor hasn't got round to contacting the losers yet, 2) we're the only bidders but haven't offered as much as they were hoping and they're sleeping on it.
That's another sleepless night here then...!

I think we've just bought a house :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j
It's a slightly difficult situation - the owner is elderly and his family have been liaising with the solicitors, so they have to go and visit him in his care home, explain everything to him and get his signature before our offer is formally accepted, but they've told us to go ahead and get the surveyor to go in and we'll hopefully have it sorted by next week.
