Caz, I have passed your website details onto my friend as she has given up work and is trying to make a go of making jewellery. I showed it to her and she's very impressed with your selections. Hopefully she'll be ordering from you soon!

No - on the grounds that a) my mother is never going to voluntarily pick up a book of erotic short stories and b) there's another, much better-known, writer of erotica and romance with the surname Fox, I'm being brave and using Caz Jones from now on.

And cazjones.co.uk and cazjones.com were free and now belong to me... :D

    Caz

Are you going to use that website for your new sideline in erotica? :p

Well, as a general author site, yes :p Going to wait until I'm a little bit more established before putting anything on it though!

What would you put on it though?

A fan site would be difficult to build from scratch...!

Well, these sites belong to some of my writing friends and acquaintances, so something similar:

    Sue Houghton: http://suenotts.tripod.com/
    Kate Walker: http://www.kate-walker.com/
    Portia da Costa: http://www.portiadacosta.com/
    Kate Hewitt: http://www.kate-hewitt.com/
    Victoria Blisse: http://www.victoriablisse.co.uk/

Basically these days, if you're trying to sell a novel to an agent or publisher, the first thing they're going to do is Google you and see if you have a website or a public profile on Facebook.

I just meant it would be difficult to have a fansite if (as far as you know) you don't have much of a fan base, or much of a body of work.

I like it when authors are active on their personal websites, Bernard Cornwell is a good example, he's always replying to quesetions on his boards, several from me!

Oh, I see what you mean, sorry :o That's why there's nothing on it, I'm going to wait until I've either had 7 or 8 shorts published by Xcite or I've managed to crack Harlequin :D I just saw it was available and thought I'd better nab it - carolinejones.com and caroline-jones.com are both owned by domain re-sellers and they want a small fortune for them.

Well, I do have a writing blog at:

    if anyone's interested!

(No sales links or affiliate links or advertising on it, so I think I'm OK to post the link)
