Holidays!!!!

I have just started a new job, the holiday system is very diffrent to my old one.....hope someone can help..................

I get 28 days per year this includes Bank Holidays.
I currently work 5 days a week, with a Sunday off and a day off during the week, it is a diffrent day every week.

If i am given the BH off (as a holiday) am i entitled to another day off? as i would be in a normal week.

Thanks

J

If you were due to work on the holiday but work is closed then it would be an additional day off that week to come out of your holiday allowance. If the holiday was on a day off then you would still have the day to take later and have the normal two days off.

If you are off on a bank holiday and only do 4 days that week then you have used a days holiday, if however you are off on a bank holiday and still work 5 days that week then you haven't used any of your holiday allowance.

I think this is the best answer.

(It best fits the OP's situation and is correct.)
