Paid of loan now payment lost

please read the below trying to be simple

Had a loan with creation for a DFS sofa. Paid the remaining balance of in AUG 15

Sept creation write to us for monthly payment missed. Rang them, supplied details & ref how we paid.. They said they forward onto their banking team. 2 days later no trace so we had to scan our bank statement to prove we have paid. they got this and said everything (inc the refrence they ask us to put) is correct we will trace it again.

Oct same letter we missed 2 x payments please pay etc etc.. rang them and explain like above.. They ask us to speak to our bank to get it pulled back and then we have to pay again cos creation can't trace it even thou we put in correct refrence number in and told us it was correct number. Bank wrote back 7 days later to say all went through ok and correctly. Scanned this letter and sent to creation... still they cant find the payment...

Any idea what we can do now as this is a nightmare and im not paying again and is threating us now for 3 month unpaid bills yet they told me to cancalled DD

Write (a letter) to them (address is on http://www.creation.co.uk/about-us/customer-care) with COMPLAINT written clearly at the top of your letter telling them you've paid them, providing references for all previous correspondence, and would they please stop harassing you over money you no longer owe them, and ensure your credit file is corrected to reflect the fact that you paid what you owed them in August, mentioning that you'll be contacting the FOS in 8 weeks if they don't correct their problem.

If you don't get a satisfactory response in 8 weeks, send your complaint to the FOS.

How did you pay and did you include your loan number as reference.

Bank transfer not loan refrence they gave us another reference, On bank statement the reference is correct according to creation.. The only problem is creation can't find the payment with that reference on it yet Halifax has said it went through without a hitch.

If you had one reference number for your loan did you not think it odd that they would give you a different reference to pay the balance?
Have you checked that the sort code and account number you were given was correct and not been siphoned off by a naughty staff member?

Who said anything about a payday loan?


This was finance for furniture which they have paid yet the company are claiming they can't find the payment.

nope creation said number all correct.... might have to ask Halifax to pull it back (if they can) and repay again as banking team said they cannot find or see it... they believe me it paid as i provided stament and letter from bank.... to say it been paid..

As mentioned previously, this thread has nothing to do with payday loans.

At last they found it.. seems that 13 people we been on phone to have not sent our bank statment (via email) as an attachment to their banking team so banking team had nothing to go on... Spoke to manager as the person said all i can do is send another email to them which i said no as not getting anywhere is it.. spoke to manager who spoke to banking team, they said we not getting any attachment with the email that are being sent and then she went mad asking why they were not replaying saying this. Could hear her on the phone she was very apolgtic.. now gonna check my credit report as been 3 months now...
