I have a quick question please.
I noticed £54.99 pending on my bank account this morning, phoned bank who said it was playstation network.
Logged on and no funds have been added to my wallet and no transactions showing either.
The bank have opened a fraud investigation - but have told me playstation will block me - does anyone know if this is true and if so why?
Also I think I am right in thinking that playstation always email you if you buy anything online?
Thanks

First question, is your email address for your Sony account yours.
Secondly why have your debit card linked to your PlayStation account, use the top up cards to buy stuff.
Were you hacked, maybe not but is your password strong, do you use the same 1 elsewhere.0 -
Hi, yes it is my email address that is linked to the account, I have double checked.
Can you use the top up cards to pay the quarterly subscription to psn?0 -

I'm not a PlayStation gamer but Xbox, I buy my subscriptions from cdkeys and enter the code on Xbox.com.
Do PlayStation owners not have the same option ?
Regarding Sony banning your account, there's various posts on here from psn users who have had the accounts banned.0 -
Thanks, this is something I need to look into.0

There's a thread from last year and 2 from this year and possibly more reports on the internet about the accounts being banned.
Search for PlayStation account or PlayStation account banned on the forums.0 -

Any credible games retailer will have the prepaid subscription cards - although avoid the 1 month one, I've heard it requires card details stored on the account.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0 -
This is why I only buy disc based games unless its digital only and only buy pre paid cards.
I was banned 2 years ago as they claimed I was hacked and over the 5 years I owned it (mostly when I was working) I had a few hundred pounds of games on the account which I lost.
They refused to tell me the exact details, I assumed it was either I bought a used console that may of been modded in the past(as the seals were off) or that I logged in multiple times and downloaded updates for games no problem it was only when I played about 30 minutes online one day and kept getting disconnected and same next day someone may of reported me for lag switches or something.
No logical reason really but I was banned.0
