    Seadogs - all the more reason to speak to one of the advice charities first before you go writing any letters to 1st Credit. Here on the forum we won't necessarily know your full picture, so you may not be in a position to know all of your options.


    There's no clock ticking on the lump sum option, so no need to rush in.

    Sure you've accounted for everything ?

    You only have to reduce it by £30-40 !!!

    That's less than £50 each.

    It doesn't surprise me that Sourcrates suggested a DRO. my thoughts are 'if you can qualify for a DRO, then do it'.

    Then you're properly debt free rather than owing money to your parents.
