I think I will use the next month's mortgage payment monies to go away for the weekend with the better half. After that, use it to save for our move to Australia

I'd just get a favourite takeaway and some nice chocs and sit on the sofa scoffing and looking at everything and saying "I own you .... and you ... and that .... I own it ALL".
Well that's sort of along the lines I was thinking too, and can't just limit the invite to friends who have paid their mortgages off can I?
Takeaway and chocs sounds good - might actually splurge and get a bottle of proper bubbly to go with them...
:rotfl: And then possibly spend the first month's money that would have gone towards mortgage on something nice that is a "want" rather than "need"....
