    I could possibly understand it if you're barbeque ing stuff, but we've always managed to grill our sausages (not BBQ) perfectly with no raw bits without pre-cooking them.
    The only sausages I'd consider simmering is the tinned hot-dog type. Well, I would if I ever bought them.:D
