    Good morning everyone.

Good luck at the hospital Nannylala, as you say there will be a lot more security about.

I am supposed to be going away next weekend for 5 days to Bruge, by my mum is panicking about me going now, she really getting cross with me that I am putting my life in danger by going somewhere, I have tried to tell her that if you stop doing stuff you will just be confined to the house and letting the !!!!!!s win. I also said I could walk out my house and get run over and be killed, but she aint having any of it :(

Might be worth pointing out that security will be tighter than ever :D

We are flying out from Gatwick next week and had not even considered not going.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
  • Just been searching online for some scented sachets/drawer liners for an elderly relative and suddenly remembered Boots.

So I put 'drawer liners' in the search box and was given 1 result.

    Yes. You guessed it.

Just got back from A's, used 6 cidre coupons all put through at £2 so £2 overage and should have a small apg so a small profit made after the cost of the newspapers:) SA had trouble scanning the coupons as they 'have a new system' called supervisor over and together they worked it out lol.

On the way out I am pretty sure I saw Emerald picking up her c n c for the dishwasher tabs (we haven't actually met but of course I have seen her profile pictures:)) So hi Emerald I hoped it worked ok for you. I would have stopped to say hello but you were deep in conversation with the SA and then you headed off towards the shelves with him. I have to be somewhere for 11.30 so I hope we will have time to meet next time:)

Lol hi yes it was me , not at my best as I'd just been to the gym and I like to have a bath when I get home. So sweaty Susie , lippy worn off etc. We went to look at the price and it had been removed so don't think it's worked :( If you see me again please say hello as you have the advantage over me lol

Hello all. Well I don't think my Asda order worked. In fact I don't know what they ve done . There was only 3 out of the six there and they were charged at £12 each . But guy wasn't t able to process them back as there was no unit price written down there.

I could see at the bottom I'd been charged £38 odd so obviously £12 per pack and the rest were my fillers. So he said leave it with me and he ll get someone to sort it. ( whether that's a good or bad thing I don't know lol ) . I went and had a look on the shelf and the £3 label had conveniently been removed. Bet they did it themselves.

Will I still have something to check to see what happens like after 3 hours with an instore shop or what please. confused Susie

Supermarkets sometimes do that when prices have increased but then fail to put a replacement new price label in its place (at least for a short time whilst they sort that out). I sometimes feel like reporting them (namely when I'm in M:rotfl:) to Trading Standards (via Citizen's Advice consumer service:mad:) as 'price marking order' - most items, I understood, must have a price stated somewhere in the store so it's potentially a breach of the law (subject to any defences that might be able to raised, even indeed the law permits any defences - not looked into it) - well, the number of items I found with no prices in my M yesterday... I had to take three separate items, separately, one at a time, to separate SA tills, so as not to draw attention. One of them was an unclear description - SEL said Morrisons own range but item in that store was under a "brand" name. It turned out to be referring to the "brand". There was a further item too, a fourth item, no price showing in that store as far as I can see - had to find that at the second store! If it's M own brand, not available elsewhere, sometimes I think "Well I'm not going to bother publicising it or suggesting anyone should buy it until you bother to put a price on the shelf".

I think I really annoyed an SA last week with checking whether other versions of a product were also on offer. They only had one version showing a price. "It's just that one" they said - well yes but the others don't have prices (I thought not said) so really it's the store's fault not mine for not displaying prices. We should be able, in an ideal world, to tell without having to check at tills - and the products without prices showing which had been placed conveniently maybe:think: turned out to have much more expensive prices - but stores have limited staff and don't get round to everything. Of course, me being me, I'm not completely sure whether I did annoy them or not - but their tone of voice seemed to suggest they were (but I've no real idea about tones of voices these days). I can sort of get tone of voice - some people who have Asperger's can't - but - I think it's probably obvious they were annoyed - but I'm never so sure. Anyway, not my fault they were annoyed, if so - their store should display all the prices for all items therefore:p - but I did quit the store early and didn't want to risk going back in at that stage (wanted to avoid annoying whoever even more).

That may be the issue with the Yorkshire Pudding recently (SP Yorkshire Pudding N/A vs M last Wednesday info. but comparing vs T) - price info. had been removed/fallen off/taken away in one of my stores - so if that was more widespread? But...why would that be the case, and found the item and price, unchanged, in another store. That product has merely changed in colour of pack text - now printed in red rather than blue - but is otherwise exact same size and number (none of that has changed) - not sure whether this simple redesign of packaging as meant it has dropped off the APG:( - found both types of pack last week, maybe they were confused about scanning at it if they found a price label as weren't sure what it related to - all it is is a pack colour of text change you fools!:rotfl: Only the red version available yesterday, but product itself (name, size and number) is unchanged as far as I can see.

Reason I don't report the missing SELs to TSD is because, well, (1) I'd be contacting them after every separate store visit; (2) I feel it's pointless and there's little action they would take - or if they did visit the stores, the situation would have been rectified - or the price changed again and been overtaken by events - by the time they visited; (3) don't want to rock the boat with those stores as regards my 'subversive' price checking.

Will explain why I can't find as I'm looking for Air Wick:o. Thought it was not possible that T could be £1 on Air Wick, as opposed to the bog-standard Classic Unit price. Anyway, it's straight comp. - no trigger needed. I still can't find anything for "Tesco Gardenia" or "Tesco Linen" on t.com that is at £1 so, if I knew what item this was comparing to, I would be able to find out. But, anyway, as I understand it, it's just been a straight comp. I just don't know if t.com has still got it on there with it being around price-changeover.
If you search msm for 'plug in air freshner' at Ts then there is just one option for £1 and this must be the one it is comparing too I reckon

It's not just when prices have increased - though they are supposed to prioritise those as those are the potential law breach areas - that prices aren't displayed or changed immediately. Almost none of the new mbuys in my A are ever shown on the shelf at the time I am buying (very first moment). The latest - although they were a show - were the Lynx shower gels - my store had £1.90 on them and hadn't changed to 2 for £2 so, from the shelving, you would never have known about the offer.

Of course, we're buying when there's a better offer, namely an mbuy, than the full price showing - so, if a better offer (than previous straight individual price) had been put on, they won't get round to that immediately as the price increase items are the ones they need to prioritise (for legal reasons).

The small travel size Carex Original Handwash on the 3 for £3 offer, unseen, together with Sanex 0% Mild Hygienic Handwash 300ml £2.50 individual price vs T at £1. Highest priced items in A's offer on msm, two other versions at £2.49 also might compare vs T. Obviously one Carex and total maximum of two Sanexes in total (whether same or different). Plus your items needed to get 8 appearing items in total.

Check the Sanex signed in on msm too, as some As do not stock them:(:(. I know A don't use msm anymore, but it's normally quite accurate about what you will or won't find in your nearest stores.

If you try the 0% at £2.50 and one other (one of the ones at £2.49) then should see which, if any, of the two work - hopefully both will. The tiny Carex might be on the shelf above the containers for the travel size stuff in your store - individual price £1.20 and 3 for £3 (of course you won't find that on msm as it's not online).

what a wonderful explanation, thank you very much. I used to be right on top of these glitches but real life got in the way I think. Back in the saddle with the finish and got a price guarantee of £46 + very happy with that but how long does it take to come through? It says maybe a week! Was hoping to rinse and repeat
