With the price increase on the Chicken Dog Strips taking my breath away earlier, now look at this:
:eek:It's more expensive on A's price than some actual wine! How do they justify being that expensive compared to the competition?
ASDA White Wine Vinegar (350ml)
£2.03 58p / 100ml
71p
80p
According to msm, this was 59p in A at the end of July. Today, 62% above average:eek:. The Red Wine Vinegar is exactly the same daftness.0 -

You know me not much gets thrown in this house but Mr TS said he got a waft of cheesy when he opened it. I couldn't smell it myself but didn't want to take a chance on it.
I'm cross with myself for not drinking it sooner. I gave the others away as presents thankfully not long after I bought them.0 -
Anyone one else watching super yachts? God, I wish I could play on them. I saw the Kismet a couple of years ago, was amazing.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

M list is now updated - but the bold items on Avs M won't be available yet. Quite a few items not making it to the list - I'm being very harsh - Sizzola Rapeseed Oil Spray (200ml) at £1 in M fails to get onto the list (no idea why people would buy small mls bottles of spray); the Intensely Creamy yogurts are expensive £1 yogurts:rotfl:; the Syrup and the Sticky Toffee Puddings (2x110g) at £1 M fail to get onto the list as, even after 10% which I suspect isn't yet available, they are more expensive by weight than the Simpsons Syrup Sponge Puddings (2x130g) at straight £1 in A; the Savers Tomato & Onion Pasta Sauce is lower in weight in M so should work better Avs T at 20p; even the Princes Tunas at £2 don't get onto there (we've seen cheaper tins before); the Flash Dash Shine Pad 80p in M was felt might have been cheaper before and, anyway, it was completely OOS in the M in which I found reference to it; and I'm having no Turkey Trays or Turkey Foil at £1 price as they might go cheaper later. I think ought to put the Meal Worms at 70g - 50p in M - onto the list though, after seeing T's £2.99 price:eek: on its 80g version. Not same size - no point buying in T: it will not be reduced from £2.99.
Princes Pies (tinned meat) - not sure I ought to add those as currently £1 in A - and 2 for £2 in M (hoping it identifies mbuy as they are £2 individually in M). M do have all four versions showing on msm for A.
The Daz regular liquid 1L at £2 is missed off the list as it's also useless £2 in A:rotfl:. The Vileda Supermocio Refill at £2.50 is felt to be too dear and also a bit of a risk as it's only just gone on "offer" in M and some M stores may not yet have changed their SELs on Monday (so the APG might pick up full price for M).
The KTC tins will be removed as soon as the 4 for £1 (or any equivalent no-show mbuy) stops being available. Good idea on the KTC Red Kidney Beans at the moment, as the SP Red Kidney Beans tins are so expensive! They lost out vs T, M and S due to price increases at T and M (S of course has been 30p much longer) - and now I notice A has followed suit and increased to 30p as well:(. See about them noticing when themselves were "underpriced". Hopefully you might be able to extract a punishing GC of £2 if you see old SEL of 23p on them but I doubt it - certainly not in my stores, they are very good at changing up the prices of these items like this.0 -
I ought to mention the 5% Fat Pork Mince is now £2 in M. The Regular Fat version, to which I believe the APG has been comparing, is still £1.75.
And - it seems to have gone fairly quite, because I've... lost track of time!:rotfl::rotfl: So I ought to go to bed now - good morning!:):wave:0 -

Hi all, if anyone is interested in the M&S beauty advent calendar, it has just gone on sale. Slight glitch in that you are meant to spend £25 on beauty in order to get it for £25, but if you add an item that is on half price as one of the deals of the week, you only need to spend £12.50. Probably works with the 3 for 2 items too0

Some people buying some stupid items [Strike]vs T[/Strike] - and I don't mean the expensive items either - on shops that compare best vs T - I had one buy Crisp N Dry Veg oil that, obviously, went £2 vs £3.50:( - amazingly the T comp still managed to give over £2 voucher. Now I have the Dairylea Dunkers (£1 vs £2.25:(), but glad they bought this:
1x ASDA Extra Strong Garlic Bread (420G) £1.88 £0.97
And this as well:
1x Nestle Nesquik Cereal (375G) £2.49 £2.00
V expensive small packet of cereal at 10% lower than T's price:rotfl:. Well, obviously even worse given that they bought the Dunkers so get none of that - still gives a voucher offer but not even as good as last time.
Mixed up shop too:
1x ASDA Custard Doughnuts (5PK) £0.65 £0.65
Should be versus Morrisons:p.
Except Northern Ireland - obviously your 'best' is against T or S:(, sadly - 65p vs 65p:eek: - but this womble isn't from Northern Ireland, so they have no excuse!
They still prefer their small cartons of orange juice as opposed to two 1L Princes:D Orange Juice cartons for, effectively, 50p each in M. (Or even Aldi's everyday essentials at 49p straight.)
1x ASDA Chosen By You 100% Pure Smooth Orange Juice (3X200) £0.95 £0.95
Way to go - just 600ml of orange juice at 95p!:(:wall:
Mind you, probably glad that they didn't put Princes on a shop that was otherwise "best" vs T.0 -
Vs M
1x Nivea Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes (25PK) £1.60 £3.00:eek::(:(0 -
I'm saving the best till last you see;).0
