Picasso, if you want M&S, then you have a few options. Argos is easy, buy with your Amex £10 off £100 deal. The 100-200 Amex points you'll get (depends on card) are worth another £1-2 off.

Perhaps - and I've not tried this - you could use Argos giftcards to buy M&S giftcards @ Argos.

Then you could buy one4all giftcards at Post Office, a £10 card bought on Amex gets you a £5 statement credit.

I've got 5 different Amex cards, so I could buy £50 of cards for a £25 statement credit, then use them to buy 5 £10 Argos giftcards @ one4all, and get a £50 M&S card @ Argos for a £5 spendit voucher.

Net cost for a £50 M&S card - £20. Theoretically. Often you can't use giftcards to buy giftcards, not sure what Argos policy is.

It does, however, depend on you having a few Amex cards.

This makes me realise I need to get an Amex cards again! Thank you Harry.

Worth the hassle if you have the magazine coupons. Buy 4 £25 Argos giftcards @ Tesco https://www.giftcards.tesco.com/details/Argos-Gift-Card, add on the points vouchers from the magazine, you'd get 700 Tesco clubcard points = £16.80 in Avios value (some might say £21 in 3x value).

Again, depends on whether you can convert them into M&S giftcards @ Argos.

I'll find out and let everyone know. I knew there was a reason for wanting to buy giftcards in T! I do have a few magazines though not as many as some.

The thing is if you buy argos gc's in tesco , you cannot then trot to argos as they take 24 hrs to activate, i have been caught out before:mad:

That's helpful. Thank you. I just need to check I can use A giftcards to buy M&S giftcards. There is no hurry so can wait for activation.

Grrr, ordered a bottle of that Cracknel rum (is that its name?) and it was delivered today, but they wont leave it without a signature from someone over 18, so it wasnt left (I must look too young. ;) [joke] ) Really was looking forward to trying it.

I have just started that one up, as managed to somehow shut all my windows down.

Decision on xmas tree: Im not going to bother, but am going to have a potted one outside with lights on. I may change my mind when I take someone else to buy theirs, but as it stands, that is my stance....for now.
