    :eek::eek: just dropped lappy:o

Thanks.... My instinct was that it couldn't possibly taste the same...but we are nearly out of soup... I missed the glitch the other week :( and it doesn't appear to be on offer at a decent price any where:(

    Hope the lappy is ok:eek:
  • Has anyone tasted the Heinz cream of tomato cup a soup? Please I'm wondering if it does taste like the "real canned variety" ;)

    Thanks

No it doesn't, there's a sort of peculiar tang to it that isn't quite right. Might just be me though.

Mind you I find the canned variety far too sugary, though sometimes it can be just what's needed. :)

Hope you have a good crossing

One of the cunard ships coming out of Southampton last night the captain said it was going to be very rough coming into the channel, force 8 and 9 and told everyone to take sea sickness pills - not an encouraging start

OMG mhoc, the crossing both ways was awful, sea legs or what :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: nobody could stand up straight or walk straight, had a couple of people dancing on the dance floor and fell over :rotfl::rotfl: which, sorry to say was very funny :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: too much alcohol and sea legs not a good sight to see.

A fabulous 5 days away though, just got to get the washing done now though :(

Off to catch up, anything I have missed or still going on ???

My local M (only supermarket I can walk to from my house, well I will take my car if buying washing powder) has a huge stack of these. I've been in twice this week so far and seen them :)

I don't think I have a bag big enough for the box, I'll just make my other half carry it :)

:rotfl:I'm glad you found them there:T. They were very hard to find indeed... they were the first item I saw today on entering M! So, it looks like me and online have out-of-date info. from Monday:o. They have restocked in my stores now.

As for the collection, I think it was the quickest full collection I've had! Not much change in M - a few additional RTC items to add on which, if TBG works it way it should, will not be matched by T. Otherwise, the Savers White Bread has increased from 30p to 36p:eek:, but the Brown Bread (to which the SP Wholemeal has been comparing) is apparently still 30p. (It'll appear as 33p on the APG comps if it compares like that as the ones in M are 720g whilst A is 800g.)

So, it's last chances on the SP White Bread BC ...118344 for now, unless buying whoopsies anyway, although, as long as it remains at 33p, you can move on the SP White Bread BC ...514193, which is the version found in the supermarkets rather than the superstores, but you won't get 10% off - you can put that onto a shop vs anyone, including even vs T that has White Bread at 40p, as it won't appear on the comp. but it also won't count towards the 8 items.

The Dates have also had a price increase in M. This is the second recent increase for them. They were £1.49 a few months back, and then £1.62 - they are now £1.78 in M. Also the Football Celebration Cake has gone from £4.99/£5.00 to £7:eek: - or remains at £4.99 according to one store which I think obviously hasn't changed its SEL. The Princess cake (not that I would risk) is apparently still £5 but I don't trust the SELs I'm seeing.

On the Football Celebration Cake - I wouldn't try it btw - it's possible it could continue to pick up £4.99 (assuming it ever done so and we don't know that) if one of the Ms they check the APG pricing in has not yet changed its SELs. I now think that's what may have happened probably more than a year ago when the Kipling Viennese Whirls continued to compare to M's offer price for a further week after the offer had apparently gone in M. If they find different prices in different Ms, on the APG, they take the lowest they find. So it could be that if they found £7 and £4.99 (or £5 - my stores have previously been in conflict over that:rotfl:), they would take £4.99. However, I certainly wouldn't try that way - it's probably safer right at the moment:eek: - as if I'd ever call it safe (I wouldn't) - but that may now explain the Kipling Whirls situation of ages ago. With TBG, if they get too many inconsistent prices, they go N/A:( (if they follow their own rules). You wouldn't get a price match from T on football celebration cakes, even if they stock any equivalent item and I've no idea immediately whether they do or do not, as this is an own label item.

The Mixed Primrose appears to be going up from 50p back to 70p, but you might still find some older stock available at 50p. Or "whoopsied" plants in M can go cheaper than 50p - and can be larger sometimes too.

So, the odd few price increases in M and a price increase in A too by the looks of it - the Pringles there have gone from £1 to £1.24. A bit like the Bold liquid in M - out at the front of my stores with £3 red label on them but was £2.77 a few weeks ago (before it crept up). The Pringles are out at the front of one of the As I popped into on the way back - with £1.24 price label as if nothing had happened.

The Pringles are remaining at £1 in M. So, they've extended it (as far as I can tell). However, although the situation is a little bit better for me in one store now as regards the SELs - in other words they've removed them and just left the non-specific offer labels on the shelf - I still don't think they'll work even after the next update. I'm sure we will see sooner or later as they are £1.24 in A and people will buy them at that price - they always do! For us, if you need/want them desperately (and remember it is paying for them:rotfl:), I think - unless we see £1 Ms later in the week on the APG and I doubt it - it's now off to M to buy them there at £1. Or maybe TBG and the big loud complaint is the way to go. You'd have to be targetting M.

Anyway, I'll be back later - got other things to do!
