Just been out, but it's too rainy:( so they're not leaving receipts around. Just managed to find a single one around the car park:(:(. However, whether they've got me a double glitch (we can live in hope...)... they have 3 for £10 pet food on the receipt - bet they've picked the wrong ones or don't get a set that are on mbuy at T - and some meal deal (that also won't be accounted for in a comparison:T) but, whether I'll compare vs anywhere cheaper...:( We'll find out in the next hour or so. It could potentially be good, if they bought the right items...

No.. I forgot I tested the 100 points for g/c without buying them and it worked.

Why is there one showing as £0.00? Why do they need to make a transaction if it was free? Dodgy tesco.

The wife buys my boy's clothes on boxing day and spends £500 which lasts the year.. its like buying for the year ahead.

So I pay to the next account.. and it gets used when she uses her next card.

Thanks for the reply. The option of actually using them to buy things in Next was the last thing I expected you to say :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I am just imagining your dad with huge boiler vats of pasta boiling away and tomato sauce hissing and bubbling in a cauldron :rotfl:

Aye.......he's getting a tad carried away with them. I've got my parents doing mocs and savy shopping since I've been with you guys on here. (I think my dad gets a kick out of it.)They use to own a small lovely friendly corner shop but a new sada with free parking put and end to it all. Karma. What goes around....etc etc:A

I have a fair few thousand pounds in tesco giftcards from price promises 2 years ago and the last one.. I just use them for shopping and that and to buy g/c when needed. they last 5 years so I will have to buy and return to extend them. no way I can spend them in 5 years.

It was good with the £25 visa cards.. could buy loads to pay off stuff online. but not any more.

I am wondering about the politics of it all now - Mr !!!!!! is not stupid and they must have realised that this would happen when they had 25% off six wines discount weeks - that we would go looking for a comparison with their rivals and we would actually end up with 3 lots of discount.

I suppose if it gets customers through the door and most people will buy 6 wines with a smaller BM and then loose it by buying the !!!!!! special offers of the week and not realise that all they had to do was split their shop up - wine and !!!!!! own in one basket and then branded items in the 2nd lot

Someone on hotdeals, with that Coke Zero glitch last week, seems to have done two shops. First they bought the Coke, with "bits they needed" and got £12 off. Then they tried the Coke and T own brands and got £19. Moral is - do not buy "bits you need"! Seems they may have managed to lose £7 through doing that. Ridiculous that they can make such a "saving" and therefore have it taken away from them and thereby spend £7 more! If there's bits they need, they should have been bought separately - they obviously didn't really "need" them as they went shopping for the Coke Zero so should have bought the other bits on another occasion or at a rival store - or else buy bits they need but only those that are on offer at, in that case, M (surely there's other pack sizes of the very same products but may be on offer at the rival - and may be a better offer there!) if they have enough of the £20 left. I bet they could have replaced their favourite brands with cheaper T versions of the same things, saved a whole lot more, possibly paid less than even the branded special offer at T (but care - that's not always true - brands on offer can be cheaper than own brand but certainly not to be put into a comparison shop like that!) and probably not told any difference in taste between the T product and the brand.

Are the only reds giving a good BG the Faustino & the YT shiraz? TIA

From the A's 6 for 25 list, T's also sell (and should therefore give a similar comparison):
Torres Sagre de Toro, Diablo Cab Sav and McGuigan Classic Cab Sav.

Edit: fairly sure the Diablo and McGuigan have been successfully tested on here, not sure about the Torres
