As an aside my oh still gets letters from a female in Afghanistan who is doing a degree! when he entered the country, females weren't even allowed to have an education.
he feels a small part of that he gets letters from her about every 4 weeks. they are in very badly written English but she hasn't forgotten him. that says so much.
if anyone ever disagrees with the debate on what really works.....ask those that have been there and made a difference. I've never met one who said they regretted being where they were. and I work with a lot of guys who came back damaged physically and mentally

So, with it being, in theory, a small update from M from Wednesday, Savvy price collection industries (TM) did the first ever Lidl price collection yesterday afternoon:rotfl:. It's a one-off (probably a bit like the Morries one supposedly was:rotfl::rotfl:).
Of course, with the collection being taken on Thursday it will miss any weekend specials:doh:. The collection was taken in one store (this won't be one where I try more stores). It took me 40 minutes, although this was having to do everything completely from scratch and not able to whizz through just confirming that prices have not changed since a previous list (as there has been none!). So, I collected details of quite a few items... and then I thought I'd also get details of the ones that were same price as Aldi and elsewhere and including major supermarkets so Avs the appropriate place may turn out cheaper, but decided I'll still get the details of some of those and :mad:then I got the Scotch Egg 2 pack at 62p, even though M on the single is 31p and Avs M etc., so should I, should I not I thought? But I did take the details anyway. Ah, dear, I love the frustrations really:rotfl:.
And then...just when I thought I'd done everything...:mad:I hadn't done the sparkling waters!:rotfl: So I had to go over to that part of the store (and escape unnoticed as it was...:eek:within eye-sight from the tills:eek::eek::rotfl:). I think I've captured everything I need to. There may be the odd one or two errors as I've had to try to read my writing and fill in a few bits where I couldn't:o:o:rotfl:. I'll try to put them right (if they're wrong) very soon if I pop into the store again later today (I won't be doing everything again:rotfl:).
So, that Bucks Fizz I've had on buy in M (at £2.49 and £2.47!, for ages), could have been even two or three years - it turns out Lidl have Bucks Fizz cheaper - why did no-one ever tell me?!?:eek::rotfl::rotfl:
I think the list - at the end of the "Buy in M" part of the M list - now brings that post up almost to its absolute maximum character limit - I can't fit the flavoured sparkling waters onto there... so I'll mention them here that Lidl has Carrick Glen Flavoured Sparkling Water (1L) at 33p - appears to be Cranberry & Raspberry or Lemon & Lime or Strawberry or Orange & Peach. I didn't find all those versions in stock in my store, so it's another guesswork again:rotfl::rotfl:. Or there are the Aqueo versions in Aldi at 33p, according to msm. Much cheaper than the major supermarkets, unless you're using vouchers. Although - T seem to have some H2 Peach Sparkling Water (1L) and some H2 Lemon & Lime Sparkling Water (1L) also at 33p each (cheaper than their own own brand).
The M list is updated - I don't think Pringles work if that one I had was on the Wednesday information at the time! Nonetheless, they're on the list as that's what I found (but I don't expect them to work:(). In fact the M list was updated earlier in the evening, but I wanted to wait and then reveal... the Lidl list, which I have been working on and which you may have noticed me doing, as a surprise, before mentioned this properly here!
In fact, it was 40 minutes instore, but it's taken longer to put it all onto here!
It's been checked - Frosted Flakes turn out to be ones to buy in Aldi (600g there) at 99p, as Lidl's price for 500g works out to be £1.02 at the Aldi weight. Also, the Crownfield Bran Flakes 500g at 59p work out to be a fraction of a penny more than 88p, which is the 750g price of them elsewhere (and Avs M of course, not in Northern Ireland, for 10% off). I remember when 750g were 64p in the supermarkets. So, those two cereals are more expensive (only just) in Lidl. Lots of prices of equivalent items turn out to be same in Lidl and Aldi and I've indicated this on a lot of occasions. Of course, some, that are on offer in Lidl, are currently more expensive in Aldi - the 3 pack mixed peppers for example. Lidl 59p, Aldi 89p - M, recently went up to £1:eek::rotfl:! So, if you want them cheaper, you need to just buy in Lidl (at the moment). Obviously you'll find the peppers on the Lidl list but not those two cereals - that's how it works;). I guess I was fed up at being out of the loop on Lidl prices:rotfl:. So, I solved it!:cool:If anyone is doing Christmas Hampers don't forget that Lidl have the Gift wrap film from today at 99p for 10m of plain of 5m of patterned:) Also if you pick up one of their Christmas brochures (Lidl Surprises) there are 4 money off coupons inside
50% off Favorina Panettone Classico usual price £3.99
50% off Deluxe Macarons (frozen) usual price £2.99
25% off Deluxe Five Bird Roast (frozen) usual price £9.99
25% off Deluxe Long Clawson Blue Stilton usual price £3.79 (this is in a nice pot)Thanks for the info Nellie35, there celephone wrap is such a good price :j:j
Obviously, it's everything except the cellophane wrap on there:rotfl:. I saw the product but didn't take note of its price as I didn't know if it was good or not - as I have no clue:rotfl::rotfl:. (I was thinking of SP Wrapping Film at 60p:rotfl:. Obviously anything more than that I don't take notice of - and I thought "best avoid seasonal items as they'll be too expensive". I normally start looking for Christmas items and wrapping paper from 26th December:rotfl:.)
There's also some Ovaltine in Lidl, that I am not wanting to stick my neck out and commit to which exact version it was (I will find out!) - it's £1.99 in Lidl; however it's £2.00 in at least one competitor of A and therefore Avs that place would hopefully work out cheaper than Lidl! So, it's like my M list... things don't get onto there that aren't good enough for me!... it's not getting onto the Lidl list. I thought there must be some SP version or something cheaper anyway... in fact "why go for expensive Ovaltine?" was my, predictable perhaps, thought!:rotfl::rotfl:
For anyone interested - I know you're not - it's done exactly the same way as do the M list, except that this one was done from complete scratch. Very experienced you see:D. What I do... I just take a pen and some paper... shock, horror, trade secrets being blown as to how it's all done:rotfl:!
EDIT: There's Apple Strudel also in Aldi at the same price as Lidl btw, that's what I've missed off.
Actually, do have a look at that list in conjunction with when you're looking at msm sometimes, as you do need to 'screen' the items on msm - for example the Oxo Beef Cubes (12 pack) turn out to be cheapest at Lidl than any of the stores on msm - just like for example the M list should be used to check that it isn't cheaper at, or versus, M - for example the Birds Eye Raspberry Arctic Roll - if you go by msm, it has you thinking it's cheapest at Waitrose at 4 for £6:eek: but, if you screen that through the M list, looking to see if the product is on there, you'll find it's £1 in M!:D As it has been for ages (I think the own brand versions once went on T offer at 90p and then AvsT etc., so maybe Birds Eye isn't the cheapest that you could ever have got Ice Cream Roll at - and frankly why would you want that at this cold time of year? - however the Birds Eye is I think a few grammes more than the own brands tend to be - so, not too bad - and you could do worse... such as paying W £6!:rotfl::rotfl: (I only chose that item as an example, even if not necessarily a good one for the time of year)). Basically, with Avs M, or Tvs M, you don't need to look at msm at all - just look at my list! You can use msm for additional items beyond what are on my list (then if you go that way, you won't need to come back to check the list as you'll already know you didn't get them from there. HTH;)).
If msm conflicts with my list, go by my list as prices online are sometimes incorrect and I'm more right! For example, you'll find some of the Thorntons chocolate temptations at £1.97 for M if you look at msm - however, they are £1 instore (those on my list anyway - do not stray beyond my list and assume that any versions I haven't mentioned will also be £1. They will probably not be! I am quite precise and if I don't mention an item it may be that that variant is on full price in M!). And - this is now expired - the Cadbury puds that were showing £1 online - no evidence that they ever went to £1 instore so they never appeared on the list. They collect from instore, so my list is more of an idea, but it never works anyway:rotfl:.
Okay, enjoy the new lists - if you have anything you think I should add to them (once the buy in M list is much shorter and it lets me add anything to that post lol:rotfl:), do let me know! (It's best to PM, as I miss catching up with the thread.) Gosh - I've just looked - long post again:eek::eek:!:rotfl: Goodnight!:):wave:0 -

back problems as I recallI was speaking to a very young man in his 20s who has back problems earlier today. A young man cut down in his prime from them and they occurred whilst he was repatriating bodies from our war in Afghanistan
I've said to him a problem is only big if it affecting your life. I can type my problems on here and get sympathy but unless they are affecting you directly, they aren't your problem. Some people can sympathise or empathise but if you aren't suffering it then all the nice words in the worlds doesn't make it better .
problems are only as big as the effect on you and your family. X
It do affect me and my family but I do try not to let it. What you have put are some wise and makes sense:Arbroke my back doing glitching
