I think as we all like wishing people happy things on here you should all wish me a happy 'start of chemo' day tomorrow. I start my journey to my hopeful stem cell harvest tomorrow. 6 ish months of who knows what? ups, downs, life, love, friendship, finding who you really are....whatever it entails.

the trepidation is palpable in here tonight. there are bodies wandering everywhere and no one can sleep. that means I'm important. I've had lots of hugs and nice words.

I'm not dishwasher tablets and I won't trump a Wednesday glitch. I'm just a person who's going through it and hasn't got money on my mind

Good luck FC its a tough ride but it will be over before you know it. Think back to something you did at the end of May and ibet it feels like last week.
Take plenty of rest and listen to your body.

Goof luck to FC on her journey and also to Squigs for her op. My son in law had his cholesteatoma op yesterday. He went in at 12 went for surgery at 2 back on ward at 6 and home at 8.30. He looked a little pale and tired but just needs rest now and hopefully the op went well. He has to have other side done in 6-12 months. Thanks to QOC for your advice

Good morning all, cloudy one here but at least it is fine and mild again.

FC, hope the chemo goes well, and sincerely hope it has improved since my mother had to endure it 35 years ago

I will be thinking of you all, will be knocking around on here from time to time today but then will be disappearing for a couple of weeks.

We do have internet on the ship, but we will only use it for checking the essential parts (unfortunately you can't leave your own business behind totally) and I will not be spending much time on it at all.

Morning all - wet and dark and murky again

A question pretty please - everyone was very helpful with the toothbrush problem so I thought you needed a new challenge

What are these called - a tiny box you wear them on a strap (cuff) around your arm, your bicep when you are running and the headphone wire sends music to your ear.

Now at the desperate stage for buying Christmas gifts for youngest son - another one who wants and needs for nothing. (although in theory he spends very little and gets paid not much)

Yesterday he said he goes for a run or a swim at 7 in the morning before work starts and then he is not as tired out at the end of the day.I know he had a tiny ipod shuffle thing years ago when he was a student at home but I don't know if he still has this.

I don't want to spend vast amounts - most of last years gifts are in a cupboard here at home, untouched.
