Very exciting - what are your ports

You will have to take notes for me, we are on Braemar in August 2016 going up and down the fjords :j

    Santa Cruz de Tenerife
    San Sebastian, La Gomera
    Praia, Cape Verde
    Mindelo, Cape Verde
    Arrecife, Lanzarote
Agadir, Morocco (we were there last year )
    Las Palmas, Gran Canaria
    Santa Cruz de La Palm
Then back to Santa Cruz for a night

When I die I want everyone to go out and get drunk on fizzy stuff .

if you happen to hold a dark haired ladies hair out of her way whilst she pukes or carry her knickers home for her because her legs were so jelly she couldn't get them back on.....think of me :D

I had it pointed out to me last night that these things never made me less pretty. I had a meltdown of epic proportions last night because I thought there wasn't enough photos of me around :o yesterday was a bad day and I'm over it :p

I behaved like a brat and I was put in my place :o My illness has made a certain man grow a backbone. clouds......silver linings

You are allowed a serious meltdown as often as you need, no one will judge.
do you have a memory chest? we have a huge chest and in it is our entire family history in its various forms - newspaper cuttings, invites, stuff from school events etc and millions of photos including one of me at about 17 in huge bellbottoms - they were not called flares or bootlegs then. Photos don't need to be on display, you will be remembered.

as for your OH growing a backbone - don't worry about them, whatever happens they cope, they draw on untapped resources they never knew they had no one will fall to pieces.

I lost my mum suddenly and unexpected, my three were 12,14 and 16 so I was already an exhausted emotional wreck dealing with three teens.
I read somewhere that with close couples once one goes the other looses the fight and they also go within 12 months.
so I howled daily for 6 months and then realised that my dad was coping and managing with the domestic and daily life very well we were not going to loose him as well.
He lasted another 10 years very independently despite coming from an era when household chores were very segregated - he cooked, cleaned, went into town, paid bills and got on with everything until the final few years but for most of the time, he coped just fine.

that's a good one - starting and finishing in Santa Cruz.

we were having a very long thing about cape verde - not many ships go in that direction but reviews said it is very scrubby outside of the resorts.

we will just miss each other - 6th in Santa cruz and 8th in Lanzarote

We were in Agadir in late January, coming into port was one hell of an experience. Our ship had to do a spin round to be facing the correct way as it was more or less a container port. The brown acrid sludge it churned up smelt foul, it even followed us back into the cabin
Everyone was told that we needed to dress respectfully but needless to say a lot of people were walking around in shorts, sleeveless vests and far too much flesh on show.
We did the jeep tour, thinking that as it might be our only visit we would splash out, nearly £100 but that's what being MSE all year is about. They took us out of the city along the coastline to a fishing village where only men lived, ladies lived in a village inland, we drove off road through dessert, saw a camel train and goat herders, went to see a cave house on the beach and then to a hotel for drinks. The sky was a very clear azure blue, magical

Thanks for posting aau1. My swimming and ape nectar points are in today, hope yours have arrived now too.

thanks for this, I was wondering if I ought to start chasing them yesterday - going to check in a minute.

I did my bits of shopping for mycoupons points on Wednesday and previously its been next day when the email came through to say the points have gone on but it didn't arrive. So if the email does not arrive this afternoon then it will have to be added to next weeks calendar to check - some weeks its been 6 days

We won't be going too far in Agadir, when we actually stayed there we never say people dressing "respectfully" so do speak, I lived in shorts and T-shirt. We might head back up to the market, but we did all we wanted to last year. The only excursion we have booked is a catamaran whale/dolphin watching trip, will have to wait and see if we actually see any :D

I have to say you surprise me about the port, we walked down to the port and there were so many fish in there it was amazing, I actually took pictures of them

As for Cape Verde, we have heard the same, again it is more of a different culture than anything else.

We prefer to do our own thing so will be off on our own in most ports.

 to AAu, did a spice and herb shop tonight. Used the app to upload my receipt as it was already installed on my phone. How long till I can see any sign of it please?

Oh, and TM, do you know what that big open air play that is on next year is called?

my £7.51 for the herbs and spices shop was pending for hours but it went on properly overnight so yours should have by now

Nipped into spar this morning and no sun deal on, they do a free telegraph if you spend £1.50. Lady said someone else thought it was a free financial times so perhaps a different deal each store - I'm probably repeating what's already said but thought I'd share
