My work has been making me ill and I was hoping to stick it out till I was 60, (another 18 months) but health is more important. I used to love my job and thought it was the best most satisfying job but it has changed beyond all recognition and I rarely see the children I am meant to be helping!
Looking for something else now, probably with out using my hard earned qualifications!
I too used to love my job, however recent changes have meant that I have come to hate it. My current job is nothing like what I signed up for many years ago and, like you, I actually think that I am suffering mentally because of it.
Unfortunately, I am nearly 50 and my redundancy package is not far off £40,000 so I need to stick it out till something outwith my control happens. I don't relish the fact that I might have to compete in the market for jobs paying half what I currently get against boys half my age, so I might try to get a job as Asda's chief apg fraud expert..;)0 -
