What are considered reasonable IFA charges?

Hi just a tiny little CFP comment - very impressed of anyone who has it but I see it moving forward as more of a paraplanner qualification (the people doing the technical work behind financial advice) rather than client facing necessarily due to the nature in which you work towards the qualification.

Basically OP you've got to look at the VALUE of what you are paying for not just the PRICE. Some people charge more but what do you get for that? what do you feel you need? Also, remember that the most important thing is the relationship - do you trust them? Are they going to have your best interests at heart?

Not sure this is true because CFP is a worldwide standard for financial planners, not just in the UK.

Although I do agree that it's a fantastic idea for paraplanners to strive towards CFP, the main paraplanners' qualification (with the IFP /CISI) is becoming an APP.
