unable to claim win?

Options
I have won a competition with ann summers and received a voicemail last night informing of this with a number to call back as the lady wanted to ask me some questions about it. When I have tried to ring back I have had the receptionist refuse to put me through and claim that the person is only reachable by email. I don’t understand, why call me to tell me ive won and ask me to ring a number and then have my calls screened? I have checked the number out that called me, it is registered to ann summers head office. I have emailed the generic mailbox they gave me to email but im not holiding out much luck. I have also emailed customer services with my details. I was just wondering if anyone had any contact details that they could PM me if they had won anything from ann summers before who they had contacted from there?

The lady on the phone that left the voicemail sounded quite nice and eager to talk to me so I don’t understand the issue. I tried ringing back from my mobile at 5pm and it worked and got told to email and then I rang back again at 9am and it came up with a wrong number tone and then rang from my work phone and it went through and I was told again I would have to email. Now im worried the receptionist wont put it through/forward the email to the person I need to speak to?????

  • I'd try a Facebook message in this situation xxx Obviously just a misunderstanding :) I'm sure they'll get back to you xxx Congrats x
  • If they said email in then that is what you need to do, They are a large Company and tried calling you first time around so will be doing other things probably.
  • Sorry, can't help with any contact details.
I wouldn't worry too much. You've sent the email as instructed so have faith they'll get back to you. If your prize includes lingerie perhaps the lady ringing wanted details of preferred sizing and such(?)- she'll probably try again in some way if this is the case.
Save the voicemail if you can - just in case- but just wait a reasonable amount of time to hear back from them and take it from there.
    Congrats on your win!
