Morrisons points

Not sure where to post this so I'll try here,
Now that Morrisons have rolled out their new Christmas incentive, spend £70 on your shop for the next few weeks and earn 20,000 points in the final week. Can anyone tell me how much 20,000 points will be worth?
Thank you

It annoys me a bit to be honest.
As a pensioner and also speaking for others who are just single or a couple, I find it difficult to spend £70 all in one go every week for so many weeks.
We always seem to miss out....make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
We're a couple and find the same problem! I would suggest Sainsbury or Tesco if you can, because at least then you are getting points when you shop...
When I first moved in, we did a "big shop" once a week by car and often used our "when you spend over £40" vouchers. Gradually the effect of having me as a fulltime housekeeper means that we spend much less money! We find it very hard indeed to use our "£30 in one transaction" voucher without stocking up on a year's worth of toilet roll or washing-up liquid, and we're in only a small flat so can't store that much!
Mind you, we may not get many points, esp not from Morrisson's, but they do have the best 'Reduced' section, which I raid most days, so it evens out, I reckon! I mainly shop as and when we need stuff, and look it up on mysupermarket to see which place to head for...2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

Totally with you McKneff, it's a hard one unless you have a large freezer and are prepared to go nuts to get that £20.00 back!
This week for the next three weeks I have £10.00 off a £45.00 shop at Waitrose. Got them through my Waitrose card in the post. I don't use Waitrose a huge amount, but there is stuff in there I love especially their squash (Mediterranean one) so as I can spend £45.00 fairly well. I will go there and 'tot' it up pretty much near enough as I go along. I can also stock up in advance on some Christmas food as well. Now that is what I call a really good deal - the Morrison's offer not so!
They are all vying for our money and the offers will be there to get us in through their doors over the next few weeks when the very crucial Christmas figures mean everything to them. They all announce in January how they fared and to be honest it's sets the barometer for how they are going to do for the year ahead.
Sainsbury's has posted some pretty dire figures the last few days, okay they are still in profit but their market share has stumbled and they are all feeling the pressure from Aldi and Lidl.
So, here is the R-D honest disclosure, it was not so many years back that I used to skulk in and out of Aldi and Lidl (sometimes wearing a baseball cap - I kid you not!) and hope no one would see me. I used to hide my car in the car park out of the way. I never ever admitted to anybody (other than on here behind my keyboard) that I shopped in there and like the hypocrite that I was I would never damn well admit openly that I even drove my car into their car park, never mind shoved my head around their doors. Fast forward a few years and I openly admit to shopping in there and I also do quite a chunk of our weekly shop topped up by Sainsbobs or Waitrose for the stuff I cannot get. How times have changed - and boy how the car park has changed too - with some fairly expensive cars parked there. I also get garden plants from them as well.
BTW if any of you drink fresh coffee (caffetierre or traditional coffee machine) then I can really, really, really recommend Aldi's Ethopian coffee. It is simply the best I have ever tasted totally fab and for a brilliant price as well £1.99 which is over £1.00 chaper than Sainsbobs and Tescos!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

This is an offer that benefits the obese....as they feel justified filling endless trolleys with chocolates and cakes ...just to spend that much.
Suckers.
I might be missing £20, but I'll also not be gaining 20 lbs.0
