I think these maybe discontinued. Same for Fairy flakes or Fairy snow which I use to buy for handwashing which was a lovely product. I had a look on the "carbolicsoap.com" website who stock some good old fashioned brands but Lux flakes are not listed either. I found something else called Dri pak liquid soap flakes that seem to be sold in Waitrose if that might by of use, though no idea what they're like.0

Dri-Pak used to pack Lux for Lever Faberge, Lux was discontinued in 2001. DriPak did produce their own brands but now only sell the liquid soap flakes referenced in Bathory's post.
According to Dri-Pak's website Tesco and Wilkinsons also stock the product.

Home bargains (family bargains down south, I think?) always have Dri-pack soap flakes, and Dreft for handwashing.
I really miss Fairy toilet and household soap, Lux, and Fairy Snow. It seems bonkers to discontinue them at a time when twin tubs are coming back into fashion.
As for the mess they have made of Pears soap... :eek:0 -

I see your point, but I wanted them as I had bought some bra's and they itched like the very devil and as I have been unable to wear any bra's since 2007.I don't usually hand wash things owing to arthritis, but thought that perhaps maybe remembering hand washing baby stuff in the late 1960s, Lux would do the trick.I ended up buying a ecocover soft and gentle liquid from Sainsburys that was on special offer and it has seemed to work OK. Now I have the all-clear and my reconstruction done I am looking forward to being able to wear pretty bra's again.
I too remember Dreft and the old green chunky bars of fairy washing soap, I used to use them on scrubbing my OH's shirt collars and cuffs on a glass washboard long before we could afford a washing machine in 1969

I spotted a hand washing liquid in Home Bargains that has escaped me up to recently. Alur, by the makers of Stardrops. I don't do much hand washing so it's lasted me a while, but I think it was about 99p a bottle. Lovely gentle stuff."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

I've still got half a box of the Lux soap flakes I bought 28+ years ago when I was first pregnant!
I'm sure they'll outlast me at this rate  :j:D:beer::eek::A:p:rotfl::cool::):(:T0 -

I really do miss soap flakes, I wish they would sell that product again.0

Amazon sell a couple of different brands of soap flakes, if you search for 'soap flakes' they'll come up.0
