Am I right in saying these are extraodinarily expensive to buy and probably even more expensive to run? The cheapest tap is £199.95 with another £100 for the installation and the cartridges last for just 500 litres and cost £30 each!0

Yes, this is an INCREDIBLE rip-off.
I got a Culligan twin-filter tap kit from Homebase for £18 and four pairs of filter cartridges for £10 each.
OK, these were reduced from £90 and £40 respectively, but the filters on these last for 6 months or 6000 litres.
Replacement filters for these are available online.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0
