just thought i would warn people,about a fake lloyds tsb email,wanting you to update your details.
i knew it must be fake because i don't have an accout with them.

thanks for warning people , lve had about six at least from bank of scotland asking for confirmation of details.l dont bank with them .how many people are getting scammed with internet banking l have heard of quite a few lately0

I always report them to the "establishment". You can usually find the email addy on the "real" banks website of where to send them to - and they shut them down.. however, these hoaxers soon start sending out new ones (sobs). Trick is to never click a link and enter details for banks or companies with financial links (ie. ebay.) then you won't get caught :TI'm a nutter :j0

They're so common that I thought that everyone knew to ignore them.
The funniest one I received demanded all my details plus bank account id and password to be faxed immediately.Happy chappy0 -
I had one supposed to be from Lloyds - no account. The email contained lots of grammatical mistakes and you had to reply to "llyods". I reckoned if it was genuine they would know how to spell their own name."Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm Welsh" Cerys Matthews0
