Is this financial association correct?

Hi, A few months ago, me and my wife applied for a joint mortgage application with Kensington which was declined. Now whenever I login to my experian or equifax credit file, I see that I am financially associated with her. We have no joint active accounts whatsoever.
I am applying for a mortgage soon and my wife's credit file is not looking good.
What's the best way to remove this association as we don't have any joint active accounts?
Many Thanks!

You created the association by applying jointly.
You can remove the association by approaching each of the three CRAs and going through the disassociation process.
If you intend to apply jointly again, this would however be a waste of time, so don't do it until 100% satisfied a sole purchase/mortgage is your only option.I am a mortgage broker. I have absolutely no idea. You'd need to ask the CRA in question.
Bear in mid if you do have any joint accounts, they will need to be changed to one name or closed beforehand.I am a mortgage broker. Husband and wife can freely transfer money between themselves. By the nature of your relationship you have an association.0 -
I had to do a disassociation recently with Experian. They took just under 2 weeks to reply, then said it would take another week to appear on my report. No idea if that's typical...Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
