I have just purchased a so called 'SOFT' mattress from Mattress Next Day but it is anything but SOFT! I need a soft mattress due to PMR (a condition known as Polymyalgia Rheumatica) and also suffer from pressure points - heels, shoulders, buttocks, so a soft mattress was essential.

I should have read the reviews for Mattress Next Day on here first as they're not good - I'm going to give the company a chance by ringing them today to see what they will do but understand it's a #69 pounds charge for returns. I just cannot get a SOFT mattress. This one was memory foam and was labelled as SOFT so was really looking forward to it's arrival and my getting a good night's 'pain free' sleep but it was not to be. I wonder where you would purchase a truely SOFT mattress? It's a misnomer that HARD is good for the back !

I wish you luck in your search.

Sorry, forgot to say this mattress was over #400 pounds so it wasn't exactly cheap but I would pay more just to get a SOFT mattress !

    Hi,
I have used them, bought an Artisan bespoke over a year ago. Having used Vi-Spring before I was a little dubious at first but yes they take care, they ask for weights then make their recommendation. They are not the cheapest, nor do they pretend to be, but against Vi-Spring and the like they are cheaper. I would have to caution on one thing though, its the most comfiest mattress I have ever slept on, I seriously love going to bed and dislike getting up. It almost hugs you.

    I definitely wouldn't buy a bed online.

Go to a shop and try out a few beds.

I got a new Mattress about a year ago and it is the best money I have ever spent - the bed is amazing.

It is King Koil mattress with pocket springs and a pillow top, and my back pain and neck pain is now almost gone that's to this bed.

I must have spend about 2 hours in the local independent furniture shop choosing my mattress.
