Help with Facebook search please....

I have just been trying to help my friend enter a comp on Facebook.I told her the name of the company and told her to enter it in the search box ( top right) mine says...search for people places and things....she insisted her search box says ...search friends....I Thought she must be clicking on the Search Friends towards the left of the page , but she insisted that is what it says in her search bar , we then did Facetime with iPads so she could show me her laptop and sure enough her search box is different.She told me last night she wanted to find the RAC Facebook page but could not find it. Sure enough she typed it in her search box and it did not appear, I typed it into my search box and up came the RAC Facebook page, she found it eventually by doing a Google search for RAC Facebook......anyone any idea why this should be? Apologies if this is not the place to ask , but as we were both discussing comps at first I wondered if any compers have different Facebook pages.....neither of us were using Facebook apps, we were using https://www.facebook.com ( Firefox on laptops and Safari on our ipads, yet I get the ...people,places and things and she gets ' friends') ....tia

Have Googled and it would seem people that have the search box which says Search Friends ...are stuck with it, appears to be the luck of the draw as to which search box you get.

I'm sure I read something about the Search being different if you change your language settings between UK and US English?

Also, if you're using an ipad there could be a difference in Search if one of you is using the app and the other is using the actual website?

Both using web on iPads( I can't get on with the FB app)I have emailed asking her to check which language the laptop and iPad are set to( both mine are English(UK)
