Change of solicitor after application

Evening all,
It seems that our mortgage advisor has submitted our application with the solicitor that he recommended, rather than waiting for us to gather quotes. I have finally received a quote from their solicitor and it is almost double that of our cheapest, so we obviously wont be proceeding with them.
The question is, how difficult will this be to change as the application has been submitted already?

I hope your not using a EA recommended Mortgage advisor, if you are, good luck"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
