Tesco - 500 extra points on wine purchases

A strange thing happened this morning. I received Martin's weekly email as usual and noticed that he has blagged 500 extra points for wine cases purchased in excess of £60.

So at 0915am I bought some wine for £80 and entered the code. However the extra points did not appear on the summary page.

I phoned Tesco and after speaking to a few people I was told that 3500 people must have already got the deal so it had expired.

This is the first time that I have failed to get the extra points as I am retired and always able to order very quickly.

I was just wondering if anyone else had ordered earlier (or even later) than me and had either got the points, or failed to get them like myself?:question:

I got the 500 extra points when I ordered at 5pm this afternoon!

After your response Manev, I emailed a strong posting to Tescos Clubcard and got a response today.

They have added the 500 points to my account and a further 250 points for my inconvenience.

They also said that as some points redemptions had yet to go through, they suspected that there is a technical issue that they need to resolve as well.

Shows it is worth persevering!
