BTW, I used the same card at BP with contactless 10 mins before my visit with Aldi, there isn't any problem...

Maybe they are not signed up, my local Tesco and Sainsbury are not.
    Yet Lidl and Heron are.

The person at the till says contactless work for other customer.
I did remember I used contactless MBNA visa in the same Aldi previously.

Contactless machines should display the contactless symbol.

Do you mean that the machine requested your PIN? If so, remember that contactless payments will, from time to time, request your PIN. That's a security measure. Or do you mean that the machine didn't recognise that you were presenting your card to it?
  • Mine worked in Aldi today.

2 weeks ago, visit KFC. Contactless work.
    Then visit Aldi. Not work.
Last week, visit BP, it work.
Then visit another adli, not work. Both Aldi have contactless symbol by the way

Do u mean I need to use the card in Aldi with pin by once such that their system recognize it?

No you don't have to use the card once in Aldi to make it work. My TSB contactless worked straight away in there, at both Aldis in my town.

Could be that their card readers are faulty by not being set up correctly, to read your brand of card. They all work on the same principle but the internal wireless loop can be configured in a different way.

I would contact Aldi and asked why the TSB contactless cards are not working at their 2 sites and why they don't want your money.
