International Amazon site is a lot cheaper

Not sure where else to post this...
I wanted to buy the Bose Soundlink III speaker. Cheapest I could find it in the UK was £220. However, I tried the Amazon.es (Spain) site and got it for just £176 including express international delivery! That's 20% less.
I was surprised because I had previously thought that you had to be a resident of the country (Spain in this case) in order to use the local Amazon there. However, I was able to sign in with my usual (UK) Amazon credentials and select my UK address for delivery.
When paying I chose to pay in Euros using my Post Office Credit Card as this does not charge commission for currency transactions, however even paying with my other credit cards at 2% commission would still have been worthwhile vs buying from the UK site.
In my case I actually speak Spanish so it was very straightforward, but even if you don't it is pretty obvious...just open the Amazon UK site and compare with it if you are not sure.
Certainly going to use this trick again.
Cheers
Adrian

The only difficulty is choosing which of Amazon's mainland European sites to choose from for any particular item - though this website makes that a little easier:
https://www.curiua.com/
Another example is the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 smartphone, which varies between £400 and £450 on Amazon UK. The same model on the Italian site is currently just £319, including delivery to the UK and the standard 2 year Samsung warranty.0
